Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026

By using sellasischeck.com or the Sell As-Is Check plugin for ChatGPT (together, the "Service"), you agree to these terms.

Estimates, not offers or advice

The Service produces estimates built from public data — the FHFA house price index, typical seller closing costs and transfer taxes by state, national repair-cost ranges, and summaries of state foreclosure and probate rules. They are starting points for your own decision, not an offer to buy your home, an appraisal, a broker price opinion, or a promise of any price, timeline or outcome. Laws, costs and markets change, and summaries of state rules may be incomplete or out of date for your situation. Nothing on the Service is legal, tax, or financial advice; confirm timelines and rights with a licensed attorney, a HUD-approved housing counselor, or a tax professional before acting.

Independent resource

Sell As-Is Check is an independent, privately operated resource. We are not a government agency, a lender, a law firm, or a real estate brokerage, and we are not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT.

Referrals and partners

When you submit a request we may refer it to home buyers, real estate agents, counselors or other advisors we work with, some of whom compensate us for referrals. Any offer, listing agreement or service you then enter into is between you and that party. We do not guarantee that any buyer will make an offer, that any offer will be at a particular price, or that any sale will close.

Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false information, to use automated means to query the calculator or plugin at volume, to scrape or copy the Service's content or data for a competing product, or to interfere with its operation. You may link to our pages.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code and compiled data of the Service are owned by us or our licensors. Underlying public data remains the property of its publishers.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Service, reliance on its estimates or summaries, or any dealings with parties we refer you to.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version. Questions: contact us.
